Team Liquid is thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Team Gullit, the world's first independent EA FC academy and reigning World Champions, to mark our return to EA FC esports. The two Dutch organizations will compete under a shared banner at the Esports World Cup and throughout the rest of 2024.
We are honored to be entering into this strategic partnership with another world-class Dutch organization. This new collaboration will unlock great business opportunities for both brands locally while maintaining the current trend of winning global titles. EA FC is an exciting title and there is great synergy with us having the reigning FIFAe World Cup champion right next door.
The other aspect we are particularly excited about is the academy system built by Team Gullit. Nurturing the next generation of talent is fundamental to Team Liquid’s mission, and we will continue this tradition in EA FC with their expertise. The existing synergy with Team Gullit’s approach to fostering young talent was one of the reasons we pursued this expansion, and we are eager to work together to create a path for emerging players in the EA FC scene.
“We’re excited to welcome Team Gullit into the Team Liquid organization. I am especially eager to see how we can use our facilities and resources to elevate EA FC’s most forward thinking team and enhance Dutch esports’ standing on the global stage.” - Victor Goossens, Team Liquid founder and co-CEO.
Team Liquid and Team Gullit are committed to fielding a world class roster and compete for titles in EA FC. The pursuit of excellence is a shared value that originates from both organizations' founders, who were among the first Dutch players in their respective sports to play in the most competitive foreign domestic leagues.
“We are delighted to start this partnership with Team Liquid. Our focus on development has led us to become the world's best EA FC team, but the ecosystem is changing, and we want to stay on top. A partnership with Team Liquid can help us achieve that goal. Their years of experience across many esports titles and their unparalleled infrastructure will be a considerable boost.”
- Corne Dubelaar, Founder of Team Gullit
