Happy 2025, Liquid fans. Every new year means new opportunities and this year is particularly exciting for us because it’s our 25th anniversary! This is a special occasion and to commemorate it we’re introducing an emblem designed specifically for 2025. 

Crucially, this is not a rebrand. You’ll be seeing the emblem frequently throughout 2025 as it appears on jerseys, campaigns, and celebrations, but it’s not replacing our current logo in the long term. Nor will it replace our logo on broadcasts!

The 25th Anniversary Emblem is a way for us to represent and celebrate our legacy, so you’ll be seeing it more in our content, on our apparel, and in our social media. More than anything, it's built to last — as a bespoke symbol of this historic milestone, even if we may not use it much after 2025.

Think of it as “limited edition.” 

We hope that you like our new look for the year and we really hope that you’ll join us in celebrating 25 years of nonstop success, passion, and the best community in esports. We’ve got lots planned for our 25th — retrospectives, apparel, digital items, and more — so keep an eye out. 

How did we land on this emblem, anyways?

The 25th Anniversary Emblem was inspired by the medieval crests of old. The design is rooted in the medieval, in the fantasy genre, because these are the roots that we grew out of. For years our co-founder, Victor Goossens, was better-known as ‘Nazgul’ — a name taken from Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. Our Six Mane Shield logo came from Tolkien too, stemming from the old banner image on TL.net. 

At the heart of the emblem are three key elements:

• The Horse: As the centerpoint of our design, we’ve reinterpreted Team Liquid's horse as a heraldic figure.
• The Shield: This is the outline and shape of our emblem. The shield stands for unity and resilience — the values that have guided us through 25 years of growth and success.
• The Decorative Header: Bringing in the “25,” the header clearly marks our quarter-century milestone and celebrates the achievements that brought us here.

As we celebrate 25 years, we invite you to embrace this new emblem as a shared symbol of our journey. Together, we honor a rich history and look forward to writing the next chapter of Team Liquid’s story with you.
