How do I claim my collectible?

We're launching four unique collectibles (capsules) in total, each available to claim for a limited time. Mark your calendars:‍

• July 23rd - August 5th: Cycle of Champions
• September: Drop #2
• October: Drop #3
• November Drop #4

Each collectible is yours for free, but it's only available for two weeks! Once the claim window shuts, the real excitement begins: open your digital capsule to reveal your final collectible and discover the loot hidden inside. You'll have two full months after the window closes to see what is inside and redeem your prize.

How does the Liquid Vault work?

All you need is a Google or Twitch account to start claiming your collectibles. When you do, we'll automatically set up a free, secure Sui wallet just for you, where your Liquid Vault collectibles will be safely stored. Every collectible you claim is unique and verifiably yours. This proof of ownership enables us to run our prize raffles with complete transparency and integrity. The results are open to review by anyone, ensuring a fair opportunity for every participant. 

You might be wondering, why does this all sound like it’s a Non-Fungible Token (NFT)? On the back-end, it is precisely that. This format and our partner, Sui, enable us to make something that's more than just a giveaway; something that can grow and build over time, rewarding our community for their passion.

For those interested in transferring their digital collectible, you'll soon have the option to connect your wallet directly to TradePort, a leading marketplace, to easily transfer your asset. We may also enable selling capabilities in the future.

It’s a way for us to celebrate Team Liquid’s 25th anniversary and connect with our fans and the gaming audience in an innovative new way. We’re also committed to pushing the boundaries of esports fandom and leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance the fan experience.

How will I know if I’ve won a prize?

Return on August 6th to open your capsule on our The Liquid Vault page and reveal your loot. You’ll see what rarity of collectible you earned and what prizes you’ve won.

Is this really free? What’s the catch?

Yes - it’s 100% free to claim each digital collectible and participate in the raffle. There’s absolutely no cost to you. Team Liquid is covering all underlying blockchain transaction fees to ensure this experience is as seamless as possible. All you have to do is claim your collectible during the limited drop window.

What does the digital collectible look like? Who made them?

When your capsule opens, you’ll receive one of three versions. All collectibles are the same looping 3D animated video, representing the Cycle of Champions theme of the drop.

How do the community milestone prizes work?‍

We have specific claim milestones tied to prize unlocks. As the community collectively hits these targets, additional prizes will be added, much like Kickstarter! Track the progress to the next community milestone on the dedicated progress bar on the The Liquid Vault landing page. Tell your friends - more claims mean more loot for everyone!

What’s the environmental impact of this?

Sui is a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain, so the environmental impact is incredibly low. The environmental impact of claiming your digital collectible is roughly the equivalent of performing a Google search in terms of power consumption and server usage.

Do I need a wallet or cryptocurrency to claim?

No! Thanks to Mysten Labs’ Enoki solution and zkLogin technology you can claim your digital collectible using familiar credentials like Google or Twitch. This will create a custodial Sui wallet in the background where your collectible is stored. You don’t need to know anything about web3, blockchain, or crypto wallets to claim your digital collectible.

Since this is completely free to claim, no cryptocurrency is required.

How does this relate to Team Liquid’s MyBlue loyalty platform?

MyBlue is Team Liquid’s loyalty platform, where users can earn rewards and customize their very own digital version of Blue, Team Liquid’s mascot. Right now, The Liquid Vault is unconnected to MyBlue directly - though you will earn TL reward points as part of the Vault drops. In the future, there will likely be perks for MyBlue users and additional benefits if you participate in both the Liquid Vault and MyBlue. You’ll need to create a separate account for both the Liquid Vault and MyBlue.

What is the Cycle of Champions theme?

Each drop will have a corresponding theme. The first drop’s theme is the Cycle of Champions, a metaphor for the journey of the esports professional—the highs, the lows, the dedication, and the ultimate triumph.
