A few weeks ago, we announced our official entry into the Marvel Rivals Ignite Team Partners Program. This comes in the form of a joint venture between Team Liquid and Citadel Gaming, complete with a brand new team name (Liquid Citadel) and a snazzy new logo.

"This partnership represents exactly what we wanted to build when Citadel entered Marvel Rivals," said Citadel General Manager Xavier Vaillancourt. "By combining Citadel’s experience in the Marvel Rivals scene with Team Liquid’s global infrastructure and support systems, Liquid Citadel is in a perfect position to push the competitive level of the game forward."

Liquid is not new to the concept of partnering with other teams, especially when it comes to entering spaces that we aren’t as well-established in. We chose to partner with Citadel because their experience and results in the Rivals scene are invaluable assets, and we hope that Liquid’s resources and reputation will help the team to reach even greater heights.

“The Liquid Citadel partnership enables us to make a larger impact in Marvel Rivals than either of us would be able to by ourselves,” said Team Liquid’s Associate Director of Athletics Stuart Ewen. “Citadel's experience in the space unlocked one of the strongest rosters possible and we look to lean in with our organization's infrastructure to support not only the players, but Citadel themselves as their organization grows.”

Together, we’ve built a solid roster made up of players from top North American teams. Liquid Citadel’s lineup for 2026 will consist of:

Of Citadel’s previous roster, Polly is the only holdover. The other players largely hail from Envy and FlyQuest, the latter having achieved 3rd place at last year’s Ignite Grand Finals. All of our players have proven themselves capable of greatness, and we look forward to achieving even better things together.
