It’s been quite the decade for esports. If you showed someone from 2015 what the industry looks like now, they wouldn’t recognize almost any of it. But they would still recognize Team Liquid.

We’ve been around for much more than a decade — add another one and some change, and then you’ve got a more accurate number — but the last one has indeed been transformative for our organization, both inside and out. Our roster of titles has grown exponentially, and the size of our staff along with it. We’ve competed on the biggest stages around the world, set records that won’t soon be beaten, and been part of some of the most iconic moments in esports history. We’ve said goodbye to longtime members of the Liquid family and welcomed new ones — ones that even your parents would recognize.

As such, we’re honored that the Esports Awards chose to name Team Liquid its Esports Organization of the Decade. As the esports undergoes its rapid shifts, Liquid is committed to not just changing along with it, but to being the change. We look forward to many more decades of being a core part of the esports industry.
